On 22 February, the CWP leaders met to discuss preparations for the visit of the regional delegation from 25 February to 1 March. This visit is meant to support CWP Guinea in strengthening its visibility and together make efforts to set up initiatives to support the promotion of IWRM.
The 2nd International River Summit 2019 is a global event organised every three years by the collaborative efforts of River water user Association (India)-IRDRA and International River Basin Foundation-WCPI, for action on sustainable development for water security, climate change, agriculture and food security. It will be held 28-30 November in Prayagraj, India.
During its statutory meetings held in Ouagadougou from 23 to 26 September, the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) partners officially launched the implementation of the new GWP Strategy 2020-2025 in West Africa.

GWP’s global and regional staff met in Amman, Jordan, on 13-16 May for the network’s annual Regional Days. One of the big agenda items was GWP’s new Strategy 2020-2025, which is due to be launched in July. Other topics were GWP’s 3-year work programmes and finding a common understanding around GWP’s work in convening multi-stakeholder dialogues.
