GWP-SEA in Multi Stakeholder Partnership Forum 2019

Multi Stakeholder Partnership (MSP) Forum is a National forum Organized by Ministry of National Development Planning/ National Planning Agency Republic of Indonesia with support from the UNESCAP. This event co-organize by the Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) and International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Indonesia. The overall theme for this year forum is "Sharing innovation and practices on the implementation of multi stakeholder platform for achieving sustainable development goals 2030"

GWP-UNICEF WASH Products Used for Analysis and Advocacy

In 2014, GWP and UNICEF established a strategic partnership to work on climate resilience and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). The collaboration resulted in a Strategic Framework and a range of technical briefs and guidance notes to support the implementation of the Framework. In February 2018, a website was launched with the knowledge products. Since then, they have become among the most downloaded publications with GWP involvement. To mark World Toilet Day 2019 (19 November), which has a strong link to WASH, GWP followed up on the use of the material.

Gender Analysis – a Tool for Transforming Water Resources Management

In a series of inter-regional discussions, GWP Senior Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist Liza Debevec is investigating what GWP as an institution can do to apply gender equality and social inclusion in its practical work. From the GWP Gender Action Piece, published in 2017, she looks at the 4 action areas that were identified as key to progress. This month, she talked to Colin Herron and Fabiola Tábora about Action Area 2 – gender and inclusion analysis that drives change. Both Herron and Tábora are involved in finalizing complementary gender analyses in their respective areas of expertise – global and regional (Central America) – and they discuss how to use the findings to transform water resources management through gender mainstreaming.

GWP Action During Climate Week

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has invited leaders to New York on 23 September for one week to boost ambition and accelerate actions to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. GWP will be present during the week and is calling on its network to participate in the climate strikes.
