GWP-Med co-organised a Webinar on Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus in Practice – "Technical Solutions in the Mediterranean : Experience and Opportunities" on 21 July 2020, 13:30-15:00 CEST

An online Learning workshop on Gender Equality (GE) and Sustainable Development in the Drin basin took place on 21 December 2020 with the participation of more than 55 representatives from gender related institutions, academia, civil society, youth activists and media from Albania, Kosovo* , Montenegro and North Macedonia.

On November 10th, 2018 at COP24 – The United Nations Climate Change Conference, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched a report entitled “Preparing to Adapt: The Untold Story of Water in Climate Change Adaptation.”

The media is invited to the Official Opening Ceremony of the workshop on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the West Conference Room, Kirani James Athletic Stadium, Queen’s Park, St. George’s. Global Water Partnership and Wuhan International Water Law Academy are organising an online engagement session on 27 October for those who are currently enrolled – and those interested in enrolling – in the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Transboundary Freshwater Security. The topic of the session is ‘Does the world need more International Water Law?’

From Monday 13 to Saturday 17 May 2019, a delegation from the Water Integrity Network (WIN) visited Benin as part of an exchange mission with the CWP and its partners involved in the fight for integrity in the water and sanitation sector.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has worked on water for food issues for over four decades, and therefore the decision to join the Water ChangeMaker Awards as a Knowledge Partner was a happy one, says Claudia Ringler, Deputy Division Director of IFPRI's Environment and Production Technology Division. According to her, all water decisions affect climate resilience in one way or another.

GWP-WA has signed in February with IUCN Central and West Africa Regional Office an executing agreement for the implementation of activities included in the Regional Partnership on Water and Environment in Central and West Africa (PREE) project funded by SIDA.
