This was announced at a seminar on 5 March at the Sida headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, under the theme “Generation Equality: Adolescents, Gender Equality and SRHR”.
Albania has made significant improvements in advancing the normative framework for gender equality in recent years. An online Technical Workshop on Gender Equality (GE) and Sustainable Development in Nexus attempted to discuss how gender is addressed in Nexus sectors’ strategies and policies and bring some concrete best practices on how gender issues can be addressed in development programmes.
After almost five years since the initiation of the administrative process to change its legal status, Country Water Partnership, Cameroon (GWP-Cmr) is now an NGO following a Ministerial Decree n° 00000005 of April 1st 2020. This change in status brings along a number of advantages the possibility to seek direct funding from government ministries and related organizations in order to advance its mission of ensuring water security in Cameroon. In an interview with the Chair of GWP-Cmr, Mr. Mamoudou Ousman talks about GWP- Cmr, what prompted the need for a legal status change, benefits and challenges, and shares lessons learnt with other Country Water Partnerships (CWPs) in the GWP-CAF network looking to change their legal status.
Within the framework of the adoption of a National Water Policy in Central African Republic, a stakeholder workshop was organized in Bangui on August 24, 2020 by the Ministry of Energy Development and Water Resources with the support of UNICEF and the Central African Republic Country Water Partnership (CWP CAR).

With the objective to transform gender inequalities, at scale by promoting gender-transformative planning, decision-making and institutional development for climate resilient water investments in Africa, the Cameroon Country Water Partnership (GWP-Cmr) in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy (MINEE) held a multi-sectoral workshop in Yaoundé on February 24th 2021, to officially launch the Africa Water Investment Program, Water, Climate, Development-Gender (AIP-WACDEP G) in Cameroon.
The Programme is unique, flexible and demand driven, operating without a steering committee, and unlike a typical programme with a fixed results framework, hard-wired deliverables and so on.
