Training of Facilitators Course for SDG 6.5.1

This course allows all those interested in organising a multi-stakeholder consultation process on SDG indicator 6.5.1, the degree of implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), to fully understand what that indicator is, how it is calculated, as well as both the importance of involving multiple stakeholders and the practical means of involving those different stakeholders.

National Nexus consultation meeting in Albania brings together stakeholders from all related sectors

An online consultation on the Nexus in Albania held online on 14 December brought together more than 50 stakeholders and experts to discuss how to overcome barriers and coordinate actions to apply the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus approach, achieving cross-sectoral benefits for all. The meeting, which gathered representatives from key institutions from related sectors, was convened by GWP-Med and UNECE in the frame of the SEE Nexus project, which is supported by the Austrian Development Agency.

COP25 Water Resilience Frontier Updates

GWP is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and other partners to create a vision and plausible water solutions of a desirable climate-resilient future in 2030 and beyond. The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. WAEMU and GWP-WA held a regional workshop on Water governance and SDGs at local level
