The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali is very much in line in the implementation of IWRM in the country. After sensitizing various categories of actors, the CWP has recruited a consultant to develop provisional IWRM directory report. The consultant was asked to draw up a document called IWRM Directory on good water management practices in the different sectors.

A training of trainers on "the fundamentals of citizen watch" was organized on 17 and 18, 2021 in Porto-Novo. This activity is part of the implementation of the governance component of the OmiDelta program by the consortium CWP-Benin, Social Watch and ALCRER.

GWP representatives from all around the world shared their latest experiences and produced interesting outcomes at the hybrid meeting.

GWP is partnering with Community of Women in Water (CWiW), a global network seeking to support women working to solve water issues.

In 2020, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) began supporting the Government of the Dominican Republic (DR) to develop estimates of increased risk of flooding and landslides due to rainfall projections under climate change scenarios. This technical study was completed in the last quarter of 2020. It is one of a series of activities and outputs by GWP-C to inform the preparation of the country’s submission for the second round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and is part of the Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP) from the NDC Partnership.

GWP-C has launched its first-ever Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) and is accepting applications for the 2021 Cohort.

Youth are not just the future; they are also the present! Young people of the Caribbean are a powerful force that can ignite positive change and bring visibility to the challenges that affect us collectively.

A 3-part webinar series is held in February and March to strengthen climate and water linkages in national climate action plans such as the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and various investment mechanisms. The series is jointly organised by Cap-Net, UNDP, AGWA, SIWI, Water Governance Facility and GWP. It is the second webinar series organised on the theme water and climate - the first round of webinars were held in July 2020.

The National Directorate of Water (DNH) together with the CWP Mali organized on May 17, 2021 the validation workshop of the provisional report of the study on the status of the operation of the National Water Council (CNE) of Mali and the new draft text of the CNE.
