The new chair of CWP Ivory Coast, Dr. KOFFI Ehui Bruno is paying courtesy visits to all CWP partner organizations to introduce the new CWP management team, the new vision assigned to the promotion of IWRM at the national level, the formalization of the membership of certain structures, request for new partnerships.
Stockholm World Water Week (WWW) is an annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). This year, the event takes place on 26-31 August. As in previous years, GWP will be involved in many of the sessions.
VIENNA, 29 October 2018 -- The winner of the ‘International Danube Art Master 2018’ competition is 17-year-old Ion Zatic of Moldova, announced Susanne Brandstetter, Chairperson of the Public Participation Expert Group of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR). The Public Participation Expert Group is responsible for promoting the Danube Art Master initiative in the Danube River Basin.
On 26 June, GWP Poland organized a seminar Inland navigation from European perspective, which was held at the Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology.
Mina Guli is CEO of Thirst and a member of the GWP Steering Committee. In November she will embark on a mission to complete 100 marathons in 100 days – with the single goal of raising awareness around the global water crisis. In a Facebook Live interview from 15 June, she describes her motivation to work for a water secure world, and how she hopes to engage people all around the world in her campaign #RunningDry.

The investment potential in wastewater treatment and reuse in Middle East & North Africa (MENA) was discussed at a session organised by the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) during the recent World Water Week in Stockholm (27 August – 1 September 2017). This was part of the “MENA Focus” set of 4 sessions, led by key institutions in the Region.2017 was the 2nd year that a dedicated MENA Regional Focus was part of the World Water Weeks’ programme, alongside the Regional Focus Days for Africa, Asia and Latin America. In addition to the (co) organization of sessions, GWP-Med is coordinating the overall “MENA Focus”.
