From 2 to 4 September 2019 in Lomé and Danyi-Apéyémé-Todome in Togo, GWP-WA and its partners CWP Benin, CWP Burkina Faso, Eau Vive Internationale Togo and the ISW met to review the implementation of the three country microprojects in order to draw lessons and recommendations to be taken into account for the consolidation of the results and the scaling up of the initiative.
The main objective of this workshop was to encourage young women to be more active in the domain of water and climate and to facilitate the creation of the RECOJAC Young Ambassador Programme for Water and Climate.
In an effort to scale up implementation of infrastructure, the NEPAD Agency, supported by the African Development Bank, the Regional Economic Communities and other stakeholders met in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with the objectives of crafting measures to enhance the role out of infrastructure as well as enhance access to infrastructure financing through institutional investors as well as the private sector.

A climate resilient, WASH and Climate financing training was held from 16-18 July in Kathmandu, Nepal convened by UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA). It is a collaboration between UNICEF ROSA, UNICEF Headquarters (Water and Climate Team), and the Global Water Partnership (GWP).
GWP-C in Partnership with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) will host a Project Development Workshop for the Elaboration of a Regional Water Sector Programme for Engagement with the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The regional workshop is scheduled for May 27th - 29th, 2019 in Grenada.
This year, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) will reintroduce its Partner of the Year Award for 2019. The Partner of the Year will be announced in December 2019 and will be awarded a plaque from GWP-C.
The Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment, Sri Lanka - as the National Designated Authority to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) - nominated GWP as the delivery partner for National Designated Authority (NDA) Readiness for 2020 under the GCF Readiness Programme.
GWP-C and the Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet UNDP will hold a national workshop on Capacity Building for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the Caribbean – Drought Risk Management. The workshop is scheduled to take place in Antigua from May 22nd - 24th, 2019.
