The regional organisation Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med | www.gwpmed.org) and the Energy and Water Agency (EWA | www.energywateragency.gov.mt) of Malta are organizing two back-to-back Capacity Building Workshops in November 2019 in Malta: 12-13/11: ‘Communicating Water Trends & Innovation to Engage Locals and Tourists’, and 13-14/11: 'Non-Conventional Water Resources Management: Local Solutions'.
GWP-C’s Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition was launched on August 2nd, 2019 and the application deadline is October 15th, 2019.
Created in 2008 in Bangui, the CAR Country Water Partnership's mission is to support the government in the sustainable management of water resources through the adoption of IWRM principles. It brings together all the actors in the water sector, organised in groups of actors, who subscribe to the management and working principles promoted by the GWP network.
GWP-CAf has contributed to the creation of five (05) Country Water Partnerships (CWPs) in five countries in the sub-region: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe and Chad. The GWP-CAf network is composed of more than 200 public and private partners.
A GWP Partner embraces the cross-sectoral range of civil society organisations, private sector actors, and government bodies that have a bearing on the sustainable management of water resources, and is committed to an integrated approach.
