On August 2nd, 2019, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) launched its first ever “Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition.” Applications closed on October 15th, 2019 with an overwhelming response from remarkable young people from the Caribbean.

The IWRM ToolBox is an online database about integrated water resources management (IWRM). With the launch of the new GWP website in March, the ToolBox became an integrated part of the website (“LEARN”). We present new tutorials to assist both new and returning visitors.

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. A live session will be held in connection to this on GWP’s Facebook page – we welcome your questions and comments.

GWP-Med facilitating dialogue with youth on Nexus approach toward achieving SDG Goals and their role at the first African Young Water Professional Forum

GWP and UNICEF have been collaborating since 2014 on the development of a Strategic Framework for WASH Climate Resilient Development with a series of knowledge products to support the implementation of the Framework at regional, national, watershed and local level. Another two publications were launched at Stockholm World Water Week 2017.

The SADC-GiZ TWM activities on Stakeholder Engagement and Participation support the RSAP IV’s Programme 3.2 that falls under Programme 3: Gender Mainstreaming, Youth and Stakeholder Engagement.

Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA, Chair of GWP West Africa attended the Africa Regional Water Team Days organized in Niamey, Niger, on 27 to 29 May 2019 by the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC).

The 9th World Urban Forum (WUF9), convened by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), brings together stakeholders to share practices and knowledge on how cities are built, planned and managed. The Forum is held 7-13 February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
