In order to be able to achieve the long-term goal of the programme, it is necessary to fully understand the economics of water in a country, river basin or region under consideration. Without this knowledge it is impossible to determine the value of proposed investments or their related costs and benefits. Therefore, it is unlikely that it will be possible to package the required finance for the investment.

The IWRM ToolBox is an online database about integrated water resources management (IWRM). With the launch of the new GWP website in March, the ToolBox became an integrated part of the website (“LEARN”). We present new tutorials to assist both new and returning visitors.

GWP and UNICEF have been collaborating since 2014 on the development of a Strategic Framework for WASH Climate Resilient Development with a series of knowledge products to support the implementation of the Framework at regional, national, watershed and local level. BRATISLAVA, January 15, 2018 – Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe is proud to announce that a new international initiative pairing young water advocates with policymakers has been selected for funding by the European Union's Erasmus+ program.

Kholoud Al-Ajarma is a Programme Manager for Lajee Center in Palestine, a Winner of the Water Heroes Contest, and collaborator to GWP Mediterranean. “My interest in water started from a human rights perspective. I believed that water is not only a science concern, but to have a better future in water management, all segments of society should collaborate to ensure water access to everyone and to raise awareness about water management and consumption among local communities,” she says. Today, her main motivation in is to ensure environmental justice for everyone. She shares her story in celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD2020).
