The regional organization Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med | www.gwpmed.org) and the Energy and Water Agency of Malta (EWA| www.energywateragency.gov.mt) are issuing a call for proposals for college and university students and newly graduates.
World Water Day (WWD) is commemorated on 22 March every year. This year’s theme was “Leaving no one behind”. GWP and its Partners worldwide supported the theme by arranging a wide range of activities. The GWPSA is providing support in preparatory work towards the formation of the Buzi, Pungwe, Save Tri-Basin Institute, through the Buzi, Pungwe, Save (BUPUSA) Tri-Basin Project on behalf of the ministries responsible for water resources in the governments of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The project implementation is being undertaken by the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) housed in the Administração Regional de Águas do Centro (ARA) Centro Office in Beira, Mozambique. The PIU has been established to assist the main basin integrated water resources management (IWRM) institutions to plan, coordinate, implement, manage and monitor the activities supported by the project in collaboration with national and international partners.
Jointly organised by the Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), this competition encourages children to take a closer look at their local river, and to reflect on what the environment means to them.
On April 8th, 2019 at the Korea Global Adaptation Week, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched the publication “Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans - Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines.”
The Global Water Partnership (GWP) will hold its "Follow the Sun" Network Meeting from June 25th - 26th, 2019. All 13 regions of the GWP which includes GWP-C, will participate in this online Meeting.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC), with support from the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) organised the Gender Mainstreaming in the Water Sector Project Preparation and Financing Clinic on 25 March 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In December 2018, the draft Volta Basin Water Charter was validated by the main stakeholders of the basin at a regional workshop attended by the Togolese Water Sector Authorities, VBA and GEF national focal points from VBA member countries, technical and financial partners.
The Burkina Faso Prime Minister represented by the Minister of Environment opened on 26 March 2019 a meeting on a national structured dialogue on Green Climate Funds organized by the National Designated Agency (NDA) under the office of the Prime Minister.
