Caribbean and Central America Join Forces on Rainwater Harvesting

GWP Central America hosted a regional workshop on Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) on 22-23 September in El Salvador. The workshop brought together practitioners from across the region. GWP Caribbean also took part, under the theme “Considerations for Implementing Policies and Practices Related to Rainwater Harvesting and Addressing Climate Change.”

AFDB, AMCOW and GWP Organize a Regional Workshop in preparation for the 8th World Water Forum

The African Development Bank(AfDB), in its capacity as the chair of the Regional Process Commission of the 8th World Water Forum, African Ministerial Council on Water (AMCOW) as overall Africa Regional Process Coordinator, and Global Water Partnership (GWP) as Africa Regional Process Technical Coordinator for the 8th World Water Forum convened a regional workshop in Entebbe , Uganda on 18-19th January 2018 to consult and validate the African report in preparation of the 8th World Water Forum to be held in Brasilia, Brazil, from 18th to 23rd March 2018

Niger, first phase ending of the IDMP is still mobilizing

Niger CWP chair led a field mission to monitor and evaluate the impact of the Kankantouti pilot project. With the end of the rainy season the women group has resumed developing the site. They have put back the fence, producing plants in the nurseries and preparing the parcels.

GWP WA at the Africa Water Week in Libreville, Gabon

The seventh Africa Water Week was organized in Gabon from 0ctober 29 to November 02 on the theme « Toward Achieving Water Security and Safely Managed Sanitation for Africa”. GWP was one the main session convening institution and GWP WA was represented by the Chair, Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA and the Executive Secretary, Mr. Armand HOUANYE.

Water Show Africa 2017 – GWPSA presents ‘The driving force behind a water secure Africa’

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa participated in the recently held Water Show Africa 2017. The event, organised by Terrapinn Pty Ltd was held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa on 28-29 March 2017. The overall event theme centred around “Strategy and Innovation for Water Utilities, Operators, Partners and End Users”

TonFuturTonClimat (YourFutureYourClimate) is an initiative that aims to integrate young people into the decision-making process for action related to adaptation and resilience to climate change in three West African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso and Togo. The initiative is being developed in the framework of the international climate cooperation programme financed by the Québec Green Fund. It is coordinated by the Global Water Partnership West Africa GWP-WA), the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) in collaboration in the Countries with the Country Water Partnerships (CWP) of Benin, Burkina Faso and the NGO Eau Vive in Togo.
