The National Youth Parliament for Water and Sanitation in Benin organized on August 26, 2015 with the support of the Benin Country Water Partnership (CWP Benin) and GIZ, in Cotonou, a workshop to validate the report of the national consultation on the place of youth in the governance of water and food security in the context of climate change. The workshop was attended by several youth organizations, the Advisory Body for Youth, public institutions and technical and financial partners involved in the water sector, food security and climate change in Benin.

The Senegal Country Water Partnership held its first steering committee meeting on Fevruary 27, 2016 to discuss the financial situation of the CWP and the contribution of its partners, the contribution of the CWP to the 2016 World Water Day in the country, how to finalise the accreditation process as a partner of GWP and the development of the action plan and budget for 2017-2019.
The Tanzania Water Partnership (TWP) has formalised its working relationship with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. The signing of the MoU took place at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation Headquarters in Dar es Salaam on Monday 15 August 2016.
From 26 to 31 January 2015, the Chair of GWP-WA, Pr. Abel AFOUDA and the Network Officer for West Africa, Mr. Manuel FULCHIRON were having a working visit at the Regional Secretariat. GWP Senior Knowledge Management Officer Dr. Danka Thalmeinerova conducted a training on the IWRM ToolBox in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on 9-10 December. The workshop was targeted at university lecturers from Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil.
