GWP WAF Chair at the Regional Secretariat

From 26 to 31 January 2015, the Chair of GWP-WA, Pr. Abel AFOUDA and the Network Officer for West Africa, Mr. Manuel FULCHIRON were having a working visit at the Regional Secretariat. For the first meeting of the New Year, the Chair expressed his good wishes in the hope that this year will be shining for GWP-WA to support CWP for greater visibility in the countries.

He said that many changes have occurred at the level of some CWP with the latest statutory meetings (Senegal, Niger and Burkina Faso) and this gives an opportunity to start to strengthen with new personalities. "We took the challenge measure ahead. 2014 was not a bad year compared to the shot work. There are responsibilities that await us which we will face in 2015, "the President said.room
The network officer Manuel FULCHIRON, transmitted the season greetings of the Global Secretariat and expressed the wish that the Executive Secretary, Dr. Ania Grobicki come in the region. He expressed his satisfaction to contribute to the work done in the region when necessary.
On behalf of the Secretariat, Dam Mogbanté expressed his joy to know that the work of the secretariat is appreciated. There are 13 CWP in West Africa, some of which are not in a viable situation. The high number of CWP should not be a handicap, but rather a wealth that we need to value. It is good to explore all possibilities at national level to ensure the proper operation of CWPs.
Exchanges were done on the theme and agenda of the Assembly of Partners planned for May in Cotonou. Specific actions related to the global campaign on the "Water goal" for the region were discussed.
