Training workshop for young volunteers, members of the GWP Network

On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, an important training session was held for 25 young volunteers from the Côte d'Ivoire Country Water Partnership (PNECI) network. Ten years after its creation, PNECI is reassessing its IWRM strategy and decides to correct its approach, which has not really made much progress in the IWRM process at the national level.

100% Committed to Water – Mina Guli’s Story

GWP Steering Committee Member and CEO of Thirst Mina Guli is going to run 100 marathons in 100 days – her single goal is to raise awareness around the global water crisis, and show what 100% commitment to water means. Mina’s challenge starts on 4 November with the New York Marathon. She will then run across Europe, China, Australia, India, the Middle East, Africa and South America, before finishing her 100-day run in the United States. GWP will help Mina to share water stories along her route.

Guinea partners to give new dynamism to CWP

Partners of the Guinea Country Water Partnership are actively for ways to reactivate the CWP. Following up on the recommendations of the regional Assembly of Partners of September 2017 inviting the CWP to meet criteria of accreditation and improve the internal governance of the network, the partners have organized two meetings to discuss ways and means to revitalize the CWP.

Announcing the Winners of the #YWC Youth-led Projects at COP24

The winners of the Youth for Water and Climate #YWC call for youth-led projects (Be Bold. Be Creative. Get Support.) were announced at the GWP COP24 booth on Thursday 6 December together with GWP partner the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), and with youth from Central and Eastern Europe in the audience.

Togo, TFTC keeps women and youth engagement high for a rural sustainable development

Some associations have started making their own compost after the assistance they were given two weeks ago with some inputs including a box of "mycotri" and bags of chicken droppings. They have started their production activities including heat and humidity control, substrate decomposition degree and maintenance activities such as pile turning, and watering were carried out.
