GWPSA to join South African stakeholders in “Saving Water is Everybody’s business” dialogue hosted by DWA

GWPSA will participate in a panel discussion and make a presentation on “Sharing of experiences on successful Water Conservation and Demand Management Programmes in other countries”. The discussion is a part of the sector policy dialogue on Water Conservation and Water Demand Management (WDM) that will be hosted by the Policy Unit under the Department of Water Services, South Africa, and will be held on Wednesday 16th March, 2016 in Pretoria.

Visit of regional Financial Officer

The financial Officer of the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) visited CWP-Ghana and partners from 30-31 May 2016. The main purpose of the visit was to interact with the project management team on progress of implementation of the recommendations from the 2014 and 2015 audit reports of WACDEP.

Africa Investment Programme Technical Advisor

The AIP Technical Advisor will be responsible for leading the entire cycle of AIP programme development and coordination with the African Union, NEPAD, UNECA and AMCOW. S/he will pay particular attention to balancing the Pan African political and technical requirements for the full operationalisation of the AIP; and ensure alignment of AIP to the AU/NEPAD, UNECA and AMCOW pan African water agenda.

Benin, CWP experiments a new water consumption control project

On Wednesday 31 January 2018, the Via Water project was launched in Cotonou, Benin. The launch ceremony took place under the sponsorship of the Deputy Secretary General of the Minister of Water and Mines, in the presence of the actors of the consortium in charge of the said project, the representatives of public structures of the sub-sector, the Ministry of Health, the young water professionals of the Beninese Network of Youth of the World Water Parliament (RB/PMJE) and the economic operators of the water sector.
