It is a mandatory trend in China to develop hydropower. The key issues and solutions are concentrating on a sustainable development of hydropower resources with less damage to ecosystem, which can act as a unique part in the development of renewable resources of China as well as in the economic and social progress of river basins and regions.

The GWP Technical Committee is launching three new Technical Focus Papers and introducing an upcoming Background Paper on 28 August in Stockholm. The event will be live streamed.

18 members of the group called Sidwaya were trained on 13 June 2015 on the site of the drip irrigation demonstration project in Ramitenga. It aimed to enhance the participants' knowledge on technical processes for the production and the methods for the conservation of corn and okra crops. The exchanges took place between participants and trainers on the technical process for the production of each enterprise and the methods of conservation and processing of these products after harvesting.

Under WACDEP Project, GWPEA works together with local populations in Bugesera to protect lake Cyohoha buffer zone by planting conservation and fruit trees along the lake shorelines.

Climatic conditions of Poland are characterized by small amount of precipitation that is relatively favourable distributed during a year. Most of the precipitation occur during summer, which is the period with the highest demand for water. My name is Suzana Saranga Loforte, and I am a Water Resources Manager working at Direcção Nacional de Águas (DNA) -  The National Water Directorate of Mozambique. I am a Mozambican that has been working in the water sector since 1985 in the field of water resources management, water supply and sanitation. While in the water sector I have been involved in regional initiatives such as preparation and implementation of the Regional Protocol on Shared Watercourses, The Regional Water Policy as well as the participation in several forum regarding establishment of river basin organisations.

The Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) was jointly founded in 2001 by the World Meteorological Organization and the Global Water Partnership.

The cornerstone of GWP China is to be a knowledge sharing network. It was pioneered by GWP China Regional, Provincial and River Basin Partnerships and also fully supported by GWPO and the GWP Technical Committee, a group of internationally recognized professionals and scientists who are at the forefront of proposing actions that promote sustainable water resources management.

With the support of the Global Water Partnership Organization (GWPO) and the Ministry of Water Resources of China (MWR), GWP China Technical Advisory Committee (GWP China TAC) was set up in November 2000 with the approval of the relevant governmental institutions. The GWPO has defined GWP China as a Regional Water Partnership.
