On June 26, GWP-Med launched a new partnership with the city of Thessaloniki, Northern Greece, signing an MOU promoting sustainable urban water management. The first demo project to mark this partnership involves the construction of a sustainable, rainfed green wall.

The Danube Water Conference 2017 will be held on 17-18 May in Vienna, Austria and will address European and Global Water challenges in delivering Water services.

A regional workshop on ‘Transboundary Water Cooperation in the context of the SDGs in South Asia and beyond’ was held in Pokhara, Nepal from 23 and 24 May 2017.

On 27 December 2017, Sudan Water Partnership, with the support of GWP, convened a workshop in Khartoum, Sudan that gathered various stakeholders to discuss on SDG 6.5.1 targets and indicators.

On 6 June 2017, Kenya Water Partnership held an extraordinary General Assembly Meeting at Grace House Resort Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting objective was to address governance issues, elect new office bearers and meet requirements for accreditation

On 30 July 2020, Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) successfully co-organized the HELP-GWP PAN Asia online consultation meeting on Draft Principles on Addressing Water-Related Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) During Covid-19 Pandemic.
