A scholarship is now available for a student from the Caribbean to develop knowledge related to climate change adaptation and water resources management that can be directed back to the region.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean's (GWP-C's) Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean is being implemented through 4 interrelated components with 8 work packages.

South Africa started its internal broad stakeholder engagement process on Water in the Post 2015 Development Agenda earlier this year. The first stakeholder workshop was held in Durban from 19-20 February 2013. A second workshop, was held in Irene, Gauteng on 4^th April 2013.

On May 7, 2015, the 6th National Comprehensive Disaster Prevention and Reduction Forum  was held in Beijing.

Mali CWP had discussions with various stakeholders including dyers, artisanal and industrial tanners, slaughterhouses, market gardeners, gravel and sand extractors, gold panners and fishermen, technical services, the University, NGOs and the media for a better wastewater management in order to improve water quality in the Niger River.

The CWP chair, Mamadou Alpha HANN led the Executive Secretariat to meet with the President of Commission No 3 of the Economic and Social Council (ESC), Mr Maurice DOPAVOGUI, accompanied by Mrs Guilao Joséphine LENO, former Minister and member of the ESC, to discuss the possibilities of collaboration with his institution.

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) staff in Zimbabwe attended World Water Day commemorations organised by Mukuvisi Woodlands Nature Reserve and Environment Centre incorporating the Eco Schools Environment Education Programme. The event was funded by the 3^rd European Union Water Facility Programme in Zimbabwe and  was held at Darwendale/Manyame Dam on the 25^th of March 2015. Apart from GWP, the event attracted 449 children and 74 teachers from 27 schools and 13 other organisations which included  the European Union (EU),Environment Africa (EA), Wildlife Conservation, Practical Action, Upper Manyame Sub Catchment Council (UMSCC) and National Parks.

For its 20th Anniversary, GWP has developed a new web shop that contains GWP’s global publications. This is a gift to all GWP Partners and anyone seeking information on various water issues. The shop is open and available here – everything is free of charge.

The MedPartnership and ClimVar projects held their final meeting on 3-4 November 2015 in Athens, Greece to showcase the results achieved through the activities and demonstration projects implemented over the past five years or so aiming to address the main environmental challenges that Mediterranean marine and coastal ecosystems face.
