New chair visits Secretariat and some regional partners

Professor Abel Akambi AFOUDA visited Ouagadougou from 6 to 11 June 2013. This was his first visit as the new Chair to the Secretariat to touch realities of his collaborators and have an overview of main issues to tackle by GWP at regional level. He also had some discussions with his predecessor.

Mozambique Stakeholders Discuss Water in the Post 2015 Development Agenda

The one day stakeholder consultation on water was held at the Hotel VIP in Maputo, Mozambique on 15th April 2013. The meeting was attended by 23 stakeholders from key government water ministries, departments, authorities, the private sector (WASH), academia, and international organisations.

Zimbabwe Water Partnership

The Zimbabwe Water Partnership (ZWP) was formed in May 2000. The Partnership is operating under the vision promoting a “Water Secure Zimbabwe through application of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) Principles”, and its’ mission is to support sustainable development and management of water resources at all levels in the country.

Malawi Water Partnership

The Malawi Water Partnership is a body that is made up of Partners in Malawi that are duly registered with the Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO) as GWP Partners. It is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, non-political, human rights-based and gender-oriented network of institutions and organisations in Malawi. Malawi Water Partnership was accredited to GWPO in 2023 as GWP Malawi.

Botswana Water Partnership

The Botswana Country Water Partnership (BCWP) was launched in October 2003 as a chapter of GWP-SA.  The Partnership was established with a mission to promote collaboration and sustainable utilization and management of water resources in Botswana through exchange of knowledge, experience and the practice of IWRM.
