The Buzi, Pungwe, and Save Watercourses Commission (BUPUSACOM) was launched in Beira, Mozambique, on 19 July 2023, following the signing of the BUPUSA Water Courses Commission Establishment Agreement in Harare, Zimbabwe on 17 May 2023.
On June 6th, 2024, Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) held its 5th webinar series of Innovative Solutions for Water Secure and Sustainable Development webinar series, focusing on the Global Rainwater Management Program with 55 attendees online.
The "Zero Drop" water resources protection program, implemented by Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) in collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, with funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, traveled to Heraklion, Crete to save 14.5 million liters of water annually by improving irrigation and water supply systems at five locations.
Engr. Quamrul Islam Siddique was a prominent alumnus of the Department of Civil Engineering who is a freedom fighter, leader and a modern architect of rural infrastructure development in Bangladesh. He played the leading role in establishing of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in its present form. He died of on 1 September 2008 at the age of 63.

Alignment and harmonization of individual workstreams as well as counterpart workstreams by all technical partners of the UNDP-GEF Limpopo project is critical to the success of the project. This was the key message that came out of the Integration Workshop for the project “Integrated Transboundary River Basin Management for the Sustainable Development of the Limpopo River Basin,” held on 7-8 February 2024 in a hybrid format coordinated from Pretoria, South Africa. The GEF-funded project is being implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with Global Water Partnership Southern African (GWPSA) as the regional executing agency.
Terrisha Walcott-Pierre a Master of Public Health candidate at the St. George’s University, has interned at the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean, becoming more versed with the real-world public health settings. Walcott, a public health professional was able to merge theory, with practical applications and enhance her skills as she conducted her practicum, gaining more insight on impactful community activities particularly the Mt. Granby Water Distribution Network Project.
