Jakarta - World Water Forum (WWF) Kick-Off Meeting was successfully held from 15-16 February 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center. This first stakeholders meeting facilitated several discussions on six topics of water management through thematic and regional processes. This event was attended by policy makers, academics, private sectors, practitioners, and associations operating in and related to the water sector.
Recent case studies and stakeholder consultations conducted by Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSAF) in the Buzi Basin shared between Zimbabwe and Mozambique, reveal the damaging effects of activities to the environment as well as water quality.

Government, private sector, civil society officials and traditional leaders in Zambia’s Mazabuka District can now more effectively outline roadmaps for gender activities for water and climate change programmes being implemented by their institutions and communities, following a training that the Global Water Partnership Zambia (GWP Zambia) conducted in the district.
The Third Regional Steering Committee for the DRESS-EA project took place on 12th October 2022, in Nairobi, Kenya. A delegation from Niger's Country Water Partnership ((CWP) led by its Chair, Dr. Nazoumou YAHAYA, accompanied by Mr. Sani Ayouba, CWP Treasurer, was received this Thursday, February 1, 2024 by the Director General of the Water Sector Regulatory Authority (ARSEau), Mr. Almoustapha Garba. Almoustapha Garba, accompanied by Mr. Arzaké Ibrahim Abdoulaye, Head of the Technical Facilities Department, and Dr. Ibrahim Diolombi MAHAMADOU, Head of Communication and Public Relations Unit of ARSEau.

The SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme as implemented in Senegal through the "Initiative to support the acceleration of the implementation of the IWRM Action Plan - PAGIRE 2018-2030 of Senegal" by the MINISTRY OF WATER AND SANITATION through the Directorate of Water Resources Management and Planning (DGPRE) in collaboration with the Country Water Partnership of Senegal (PNES).
The 2022 GWP annual Network Meeting of Partners will take place on 25 May, building on last year’s theme of “Leading Change and Innovation through our Partners”.
