GWP China Hebei Assessment on River Regulation Outcome in Baiyangdian

June 13-14, 2022, GWP China Hebei organized the Seminar of "Investigation on Implementation Effect of Water Ecological Environment Regulation in Baiyangdian & Daqing River Basin" in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province. H.E. Jakaya Kikwete Closing Statement at 9th World Water Forum, Dakar, Senegal

The following address was given by HE Jakaya Kikwete, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Chair: Global Water Partnership Africa Coordination Unit, at the closing ceremony of the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar, Senegal on 25 March 2022. The address followed the formal announcement of the International High-Level Panel on Water Investment for Africa by HE Macky Sall, President of Senegel, at the same event.

Senegal, protection, restoration and sustainable development of water-related ecosystems in the department of Saint-Louis: what roles and initiatives for civil society

The department of Saint-Louis has a large reserve of coastal, continental and artificial wetlands, including the Langue de Barbarie, mudflats, lakes, etc. Indeed, of the nine (9) sites in Senegal included in the list of wetlands of international importance (Ramsar sites), five (5) are located in the Saint-Louis region. These wetlands are currently facing anthropic and climatic constraints.
