The environmental Art competition, “Danube Art Master” is delighted to have received a surprisingly large number of artworks submitted in 2020, despite taking place under truly exceptional circumstances.
In accordance with the Head of State’s instructions during his September 12th, 2012 visit to the flood victims in the North and Far North regions of Cameroon to "strengthen metrological information at all levels and on a regular basis" and as part of the Water, Climate, Environment - Gender (WACDEP-G) program, GWP-Cameroon supported the National Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport (MINT) in improving the mechanisms for collecting and disseminating agrometeorological information during a workshop held in Yaoundé on November 27th, 2020 .
GWP-SEA Regional Secretariat is very glad to share with you on the distinction that was given to Manila Water as the Water Company of the Year in the highly coveted 2022 Global Water Awards as part of the 2022 Global Water Summit held in Madrid, Spain.
A GWP-WA regional Secretariat undertook a monitoring mission from 09 to 13 July 2022. The objective of this mission was to monitor the implementation of the TFTC2 Project activities in Togo.
GWP celebrates 25 years in 2021, and we are introducing the anniversary website gwp25years.org. The launch took place in connection to the GWP Regional Days (31 May-3 June), an annual gathering of GWP’s staff worldwide. The new website is a place to capture the collective celebration of what the network has achieved so far, and to look to the future. It is a place where everyone is invited to share messages and where they can be part of the journey to make good water governance a reality for everyone.
The Presidential Decree N°2021/754 of 28th December 2021, makes Cameroon the 6th African country to adhere to the 1992 Helsinki Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes.
By the end of 2018, GWP-SEA and the partners in Indonesia has successfully established a stepping stone to better-delivering water management through the formulation of a position paper on the inclusion of community-based water and sanitation program. Most of the recommendation was adopted by the new Water Bill that was enacted in 2019. Following this success, in 2020 GWP-SEA has further its collaboration with the private sectors in Indonesia to become one of the founding members of the Indonesia Water Coalition. To formalize the collaboration the charter signing ceremony was held.

To inaugurate the “Built Water Storage in South Asia to enhance water security in the region” project, a series of inception workshops targeting the five designated countries, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Pakistan are being scheduled for five distinctive dates in January 2023.
Mali CWP held its first Steering Committee for the year on 16 January 2020 in Bamako. Discussions included exchanges on the CWP annual progress report, examine and adopting the 2020 work plan drawn from the 2019-2022 triennial plan as well as the preparations for the organization of the general assembly of the CWP partners.
