A specially designed “snakes and ladders” water conservation game developed within GWP-Med’s Zero Drop program, funded by The Coca Cola Foundation, reaches all schoolchildren in Heraklion, Crete.
The second virtual consultation on the development of the AIP Water Investment Scorecard took place on 16 September 2021, under the leadership of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW), and supported by Global Water Partnership Africa.
The Lake Chad Basin Commission and GWP-Central Africa, with the support of the World Metrological Organization, organized the second regional stakeholder consultation for the "Integrated Water Resources Management and Early Warning System for Climate Change Resilience in the Lake Chad Basin" project. The regional workshop was held in N’Djamena, Chad, on March 29th–31st, 2023.
GWP-WA’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Armand Houanye attended the Kick-off Meeting of the ‘’EPIC Africa Project - Energy Planning and Modelling through Integrated Assessment of Climate-Land-Energy-Water Nexus in Sub-Saharan Africa: The Cases of the Volta and Tana River Basins’’ on 22nd and 23rd November 2022. The Kick-off meeting was held in Accra, Ghana from 21 to 25 November 2022.
The Water Changemaker Innovation Awards 2023 is proud to announce the top 30 finalists selected from a pool of exceptionally innovative and impactful projects dedicated to addressing water-related challenges worldwide. The Project management team of the project organized two workshops in Falmey (Dosso) and Tillaberi from 18 to 21 October, 2022 for the elaboration of the action plan for the integrated management of water resources and other related resources of the pilot sites of the Mekrou Phase 2 Niger Project in the Mekrou sub-basin in Niger.
