GWP–Med at World Water Week 2019

"Millions of lives could be at risk if we don’t take the water crisis and global warming more seriously" was among the key closing messages of the 2019 World Water Week (25-30 August, Stockholm), organised by SIWI. Many of the Week’s 250+ sessions showcased water-related solutions to global challenges such as climate change and food scarcity. More than 4000 participants from 138 countries called upon governments, institutions and stakeholders including the private sector, to improve water management and practically implement available solutions to critical water challenges.

Call for the recruitment of Head of Finance and Administration

CLOSED Global Water Partnership Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Head of Finance and Administration for its Athens-based Secretariat. The successful candidate will be hired by MIO-ECSDE, a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

Tunisian Youth from Ghar El Melh discusses Green Jobs opportunities

Youth representatives from Ghar El Melh, some 60 Km north of Tunis gathered on 24 June 2019, to identify options for green employment in their home area, also interacting with local authorities responsible for promoting employability (The Employment Office of Utique). During the Workshop on“First Green Jobs”) participants enhanced their understanding on green economy and its role in sustainably managing natural resources while providing opportunities for jobs and entrepreneurship.
