Malawi has finalised the development of response strategies meant to address major challenges rocking the water and sanitation sector in the country. The strategies were being developed with the guidance of the country’s Ministry of Water and Sanitation, under the Global Water Leadership Programme (GWL) which the Global Water Partnership is implementing with funding from FCDO.
The Water Changemaker Innovation Awards 2023 is proud to announce the top 30 finalists selected from a pool of exceptionally innovative and impactful projects dedicated to addressing water-related challenges worldwide. Three task forces that have been working on developing response strategies to three Water Resources Management (WRM) and WASH systemic barriers identified under the Global Water Leadership (GWL) Programme in Malawi, have finalised their drafts.
Various stakeholders in the Water, Energy, and Food (WEF) sectors including early career researchers, postgraduate students, managers, policymakers, and practitioners have had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the WEF nexus, as a transformative approach to sustainable natural resources management and socio-economic development.
