Svetlana Doneva is the Senior Communications Specialist at Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA), where she supports the GWPSA secretariat and the African Coordination Unit in the development and implementation of their communication activities.
Svetlana is passionate about transforming complex concepts into accessible and engaging content. She has expertise in behaviour change communications, communication strategy development and execution, as well as publication and material design. Prior to working at the GWPSA, Svetlana worked as communication manager at a South African early childhood development programme working to effect systemic change in service delivery and access. She supported the development of a national early childhood development communication campaign with the South African National Department of Health. Additionally, she has 10 years’ experience as an economic journalist, having led the Cape Town bureau of CNBC Africa, contributed to Forbes Africa and Finweek magazines, and headed up multimedia production at Fin24.com. Svetlana has an Honours Degree in Economics.
