A virtual Workshop on financing transboundary water cooperation and basin development will take place on 16-17 December. The event, which is organised under the UNECE Water Convention’s activities framework, will discuss challenges and opportunities related to the financing of transboundary water cooperation and basin development.

One of the primary strategic goals of GWP is to engage youth in any way possible. The point is to give them a fighting chance for a water secure future. This year, we tried something new.

In order to contribute to the reflections towards the adoption legal basis for the establishment and composition of Local Water Committees (LWCs) which are local body for water resource management in a river basin, CWP-Benin in collaboration with the General Directorate for Water (DGEau), organized on 28 and 29 January 2020 a workshop for exchanges on the establishment of Local Water Committees.

GWP CEE is looking for new colleagues to fill our freshly opened positions

GWP-Med, representing on occasion also GWP, has been contributing to the OECD Water Governance Initiative (WGI)[1] since its launch in 2013. In this framework, GWP-Med participated in the 7^th meeting of the WGI held on 23-24 June 2016, in The Hague, the Netherlands. The meeting brought together some 80 representatives of organizations and institutions, members to the Initiative.

On World Water Day, the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme is announcing a major upgrade and new resources on its website to better share the challenges and opportunities countries face when implementing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). Several new items include an IWRM Action Searcher, an interactive map, and stakeholder reports.
