A national workshop on the promotion of the green economy was held on September 20, 2023 in Conakry, bringing together mainly private sector players under the aegis of Guinea's Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development and Ministry of Fisheries and the Maritime Economy.
The GWPSA is providing support in preparatory work towards the formation of the Buzi, Pungwe, Save Tri-Basin Institute, through the Buzi, Pungwe, Save (BUPUSA) Tri-Basin Project on behalf of the ministries responsible for water resources in the governments of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The project implementation is being undertaken by the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) housed in the Administração Regional de Águas do Centro (ARA) Centro Office in Beira, Mozambique. The PIU has been established to assist the main basin integrated water resources management (IWRM) institutions to plan, coordinate, implement, manage and monitor the activities supported by the project in collaboration with national and international partners.
On 24 and 25 June 2020, CWP Benin initiated, the conduct of a diagnostic study on the monitoring function in the field of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) carried out by non-state actors.
This national training of trainers workshop will be held in The Bahamas and put on by CapNet (Caribbean WaterNet) in collaboration with The University of the West Indies (UWI), Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) and The Bahamas Agricultural Health and Food Safety Authority (BAHFSA).

The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. The Mekrou Project Phase 2 – Niger component has started an active implementation phase with the beginning of consulting missions for the operationalization of IWRM in the Mekrou sub-basin in Niger.
