More financing needs to be made available for IWRM approaches and implementation from a variety of sources, including the public and private sectors. The Lake Chad Basin Commission and GWP-Central Africa, with the support of the World Metrological Organization, organized the second regional stakeholder consultation for the "Integrated Water Resources Management and Early Warning System for Climate Change Resilience in the Lake Chad Basin" project. The regional workshop was held in N’Djamena, Chad, on March 29th–31st, 2023.
Represented by its Regional Coordinator, Mr. Hycinth BANSEKA, the GWP-CAf Secretariat actively participated in various sessions, particularly those on "The Contextual Analysis of Sanitation in Gabon: Opportunities and Perspectives (in relation to the SDGs)" organized by the Ministry of Water and Energy of Gabon and "Water security, infrastructure, investment and innovation".
The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a sister to the “One Belt One Road” and also to the “south-south in Asia”. The year of 2017 arrives to the 50th year anniversary of ASEAN.
