International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. The theme for International Women’s Day 2020 is, I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights. The theme is aligned with UN Women’s new multigenerational campaign, Generation Equality, which marks the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

The AIP-African Union Multi-Country Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project has officially been launched in the Central African Republic. The Asia-Pacific Water Summit, also known as the 4th APWS, was already held on April 23-24, 2022, in Kumamoto City, Japan. The event brought together high-level delegates from the Asia-Pacific region, including heads of state and representatives from international organizations, to discuss a variety of water-related issues. GWP actively participated in the conference, providing insights on water and its relation to youth, gender, climate, governance, finance, and the SDGs.
To strengthen the knowledge capacity of female leaders, members of the community and the media in the Far North Region of Cameroon on dental fluorosis, the Cameroon Country Water Partnership (GWP-Cmr) organized a two-day training from June 24th – 25th in Maroua, Cameroon
From September 16 to 19, 2025, a regional capacity-building workshop was held in Lomé on the water resources model and the Decision Support Tool (DST) for sustainable planning and management of the Volta River Basin. Organized as part of the REWarD – Volta River Basin project, this workshop is part of a regional effort to strengthen transboundary water governance and restore the basin’s ecosystems.
