The Niger Basin Authority (NBA) held in Abuja from 24 to 27 May 2021 its statutory meeting including the meeting of the: Technical Committee of Experts on May 24 to 26, 2021, the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers on May 27, 2021.
As part of the implementation of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Readiness Proposal for the Central African Republic, the Global Water Partnership Central Africa (GWP-CAf) is looking for a Project Coordinator. He/She will be in charge of coordinating and managing the project, as well as carrying out analysis on climate finance opportunities, monitoring, and decision-making.
For the first time since the establishment of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) in 2004, Belize has now become an official Partner country of the GWP-C. It is well-known that Belize is a country based in Central America but has maintained strong ties to the Caribbean, as part of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Mainly due to the country’s geographical location, it fell under the GWP Central America Partnership.
Since inception in 2018, #TonFuturTonClimat has been implemented in Togo through the Youth Support Project for the Protection of the Environment, Water and Soil (PAJPEES) in Danyi-Apéyémé. To assess the activities already implemented and those in progress, a participatory evaluation was carried out in February.
The islanders of Oinousses are provided with water saving equipment, to help them save 1.000.000 litres of water over one year, through the "Water is in our Hands" inititiave by GWP-Med and consumer goods company Reckitt, in collaboration with local authorities.
The tenth Assembly of Partners of GWP West Africa held on September 2021 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on the theme "Covid-19 Crisis Response Strategy for Water Security and Sustainable Development in West Africa”.

El lanzamiento tiene lugar en relación con los Días Regionales de GWP (31 de mayo al 3 de junio), una reunión anual del personal de GWP en todo el mundo. El nuevo sitio web es un lugar para capturar la celebración colectiva de lo que la red ha logrado hasta ahora y para mirar hacia el futuro. A workshop “Gender dimensions in the sustainable management of natural resources through a Nexus approach in the Drina River Basin” was held online on June 23 2021. Approximately 80 stakeholders from Ministries, local NGOs, Nexus related institutions and agencies and academia from the Drina River Basin joined the workshop that focused on the interplay between sustainable management of natural resources and gender in the three countries of the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia.
