Global leaders recently convened for the twelfth Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD XII) with the aim of furthering multilateral cooperation around climate action in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow. A technical workshop was held from 20 October to 3 November 2022 in Koubri to finalize the modules and other materials for the 5th online course. The distance or e-learning includes different courses covering the whole value chain of the end-to-end early warning system for flood forecasting (E2E-EWS-FF) and the three pillars of drought management. Four online courses have already been organized from September 2021 to November 2022.
Laurent-Charles Tremblay-Lévesque joined GWP as IWRM & Knowledge Management Specialist exactly one month ago. In his new role, he will develop and share tools and knowledge resources to help GWP’s Partners design and implement water-related strategies and projects aligned with the principles of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). To mark World Toilet Day 2020, we asked him to share an experience from his previous role within the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. He says that “toilets can help us fight climate change”.
