Vientiane, 24 October 2018 -- The Mekong River Commission (MRC), Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP SEA), and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) successfully organized a regional shared vision and collaborative modelling workshop for the Mekong River Basin. #LeavingNoOneBehind is another global campaign of GWP in March of 2019. Multiple partners in the network from 85 countries are loyal supporters to GWP on this theme in the run-up to #WWD2019.

The GWP-CAf launched the GWP 2020-2025 strategy at its 6th General Assembly in Douala, Cameroon.

Representatives from Albania, Kosovo*, Montenegro and North Macedonia discussed the risks and impacts of drought and possible management solutions at the 7th Drin Stakeholders Conference.

The vision of the GWP-CAf is for of a "Central Africa where water security is assured". Our mission is to "support sustainable development through the promotion and implementation of integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in Central Africa".

In 2020, Global Water Partnership (GWP) in collaboration with The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as the custodian agency, which coordinates reporting on SDG 6.5.1 indicator, together with UNEP-DHI Centre and Cap-Net, operates the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme, to support 60 countries in implementing the survey. For the PAN Asia region, the reports have successfully submitted and it is now the time to find out the lesson learned behind the process.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) will be launching its Strategy for 2020 – 2025 themed “Mobilizing Investments for A Water Secure Southern Africa”, to its partners in Pretoria, South Africa. The Strategy, to be launched at a meeting to mobilize investments for a water secure southern African region, will guide how GWPSA will focus its work between 2020 and 2025 in line with the GWPO Global Strategy.

The United Nations World Water Day (WWD) is observed annually on March 22nd. This year's theme is: Water and Climate Change. One of the ways the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) will be commemorating the Day, is through the launch of its WWD Photo Contest.

The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali have worked on Saturday 14 November 2019 to refine the country proposal for the SDG 6.5.1 Support Programme.
