TFTC benefitting to 45,000 individuals in three countries, project review meeting says

From 2 to 4 September 2019 in Lomé and Danyi-Apéyémé-Todome in Togo, GWP-WA and its partners CWP Benin, CWP Burkina Faso, Eau Vive Internationale Togo and the ISW met to review the implementation of the three country microprojects in order to draw lessons and recommendations to be taken into account for the consolidation of the results and the scaling up of the initiative.

GWP Nigeria appoints a new Permanent Secretary

The GWP-N has appointed a new Technical Secretary and desk officer in the person of Miss Amadi Chioma Ebelechi who resumed duty on the 11th of March 2019. All documents of GWP-N were handed over to her for safe keeping and proper running of the secretariat. She takes over Engr. Peter Suleh.

2020 proved to be a difficult year for people worldwide, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cascading effects this brought to every aspect of life, both personal and professional. While 2021 may not seem that different to 2020, there are glimmers of hope that show a light at the end of a dark tunnel. Gambia, the CWP extending courtesy visits to partners

The CWP Gambia team including the chair, executive Secretary and IWRM Focal point met with the Director General of the Gambia Radio and Television Service in his office on Wednesday 1st of August 2018 to brief him on GCWP activities, GWP, GWPWA and status of IWRM in the Gambia. Interactive Online Session: The Source-to-Sea Approach in International Water Law

The Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance Train continues its journey on 19 October, with an 8th interactive session in the series. The topic for this event is the source-to-sea approach in international water law. It is jointly organised by GWP and Wuhan International Water Academy (IWLA) and it is part of the ongoing efforts to engage more with participants of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for Governance for Transboundary Freshwater Security.

The “1st Nexus Roundtable in the MENA and wider Mediterranean” will be held on 26-28 November 2018, in Beirut, Lebanon, at the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, under the auspices of the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water and in partnership with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the United Nations Environment Programme / Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP MAP).
