Julienne ROUX, Senior Network Officer (SNO) for GWP-WA, made a week-long immersion visit to the Regional Executive Secretariat in Ouagadougou.

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). International Women’s Day (IWD) is observed on March 8th each year. It is a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe.

Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism was proposed by Chinese Primer Likeqiang ni the 17th China-ASEAN Leaders’ meeting held in November of 2015, which aims to strengthen all-round and friendly cooperation among China and Mekong countries and promote regional overall development. The First Lancang-Mekong (LMC) Foreign Ministers Meeting held in Jinghong, Yunnan Province of China in November of 2015 formally announced the establishment of the LMC Mechanism.

In an effort to scale up implementation of infrastructure, the NEPAD Agency, supported by the African Development Bank, the Regional Economic Communities and other stakeholders met in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with the objectives of crafting measures to enhance the role out of infrastructure as well as enhance access to infrastructure financing through institutional investors as well as the private sector.

On May 10-11 over 80 experts and stakeholders gathered in Malta from across the Mediterranean and beyond to discuss water challenges faced in the region and suggest Non Conventional Water Resources (NCWR) solutions for a water-secure future, including employment opportunities.
