Jakarta, 29 October 2018 -- Following the success of the 1st the multi-stakeholder position paper on the human well-being theme for the Water Resources Law Draft of the Republic of Indonesia that has been accepted by the parliament, another workshop focus more on sanitation infrastructure was held to receive feedback and comments from the water and sanitation experts.
Gathering more than 70 high level MENA representatives -from national and regional institutions involved in the sectors of water management, energy production, food and agriculture, and environmental protection, as well as financing institutions- the 1st Nexus Roundtable in the MENA and wider Mediterranean solidly contributed to the ongoing Dialogue processes in the Region for the incorporation of Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystems Nexus considerations in national and transboundary water resources management planning, including the link between the Nexus approach and vulnerable groups (women, youth, poor), and the enhancement of related capacities of MENA institutions and stakeholders.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) is reaching out to all its Partners to search for a new Regional Chairperson. The new GWPSA Chair will serve for a four-year term from November 2019- November 2023.
The 25th Regional Council (RC) Meeting of GWP South Asia was convened by the Regional Chair from 19-20 October 2019 at Ro-Chog Pel Hotel in Thimphu, Bhutan.
GWP recognises the importance of the private sector, a key stakeholder, in delivering the water-related development agenda. The integrated water resources management approach can add value to existing corporate stewardship initiatives and leverage the strengths and perspectives of the private sector to improve water management and governance.
