There will be three vacant positions on the GWP Steering Committee (SC) to be filled for the November 2017 Steering Committee Meeting, for terms of three years. All three will be selected from independent candidates (who can be self-nominated or proposed). Note 10 April: the deadline for this call has passed, we are no longer accepting nominations.

GWP Interprets ‘MSP’ to the Asian-Pacific Audiences

On December 11 and 12, 2017, the GWP Pan-Asian delegation formed by members of GWPO, GWP CASENA Region, GWP China Region, GWP SAS Region and GWP SEA Region participated into the 3rd APWS and organized a thematic session during the Summit in Yangon, Myanmar.

Workshop on Transboundary Water Cooperation in South Asia and Beyond

GWP South Asia, GWP and GWP Nepal in cooperation with the Geneva Water Hub and UNESCO-IHE are organising a regional workshop on Transboundary Water Cooperation in the context of the SDGs in South Asia and beyond in Pokhara, Nepal on 23 and 24 May 2017. Thereafter, an Inter-Regional Coordination Meeting will be held on the 25 May with the representation of the four Asian Regional Water Partnerships – Central Asia, China, South Asia and South-East Asia.

Conserving urban wetlands

Sri Lanka Water Partnership (SLWP) joined hands with Central Environment Authority (CEA) and Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation (SLLRDC) to mark World Wetlands Day (WWD) on 2 February 2018.

Making strides in Water Governance - Malawi National Youth Water Network

Following the SADC Water Week Conference held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi from the 13-15 May, 2015, the Malawi National Youth Water Network (MNYWN) was formed on the 14th of May, 2015. The setting up of the Network was in line with the SADC program for the African Minister’s Council on Water (AMCOW) Policy and Strategy on Mainstreaming Youth in the Water and Sanitation Sector through the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Water Aid and Malawi Water Partnership.
