Water and Climate Change resilient youth champions and communities in Hindon River basin project was successfully concluded with the Hindon Mela held on 24 February 2018.
A workshop to kick-off the project, proposing a Master Plan for Integrated Trijuga River Improvement and Basin Development based on Principles on Investment and Financing for Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction will be held on Thursday, 13 February 2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
From 20-24 November 2017, CWP-Benin represented by Rachel ARAYE took part in the Sharing Skills Seminar organized by the VIA WATER programme in Ghana. This seminar was hosted by the ISGC (International Student Guest Centre) and attended by 26 innovative project leaders on water, sanitation and agriculture issues from seven (7) countries: Benin, Mali, Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, Mozambique and India.

The Volta Basin Authority (VBA) and GWP have concluded the recruitment process of the two Volta Project staff to be located for the Technical Project Manager at the Executive Directorate of VBA and for the Project Technical Assistant at GWP-WA secretariat.
Communications is key for development, something recognised by both GWP and Sida, Sweden’s International Development Cooperation Agency, and one of GWP’s founding Partners. On 22-23 November, the Communication teams of GWP and Sida joined forces with Malmö University’s Master's in Communication for Development in convening a 2-day seminar for their students as part of the course on "Media, globalization and development."

The seventh Africa Water Week was organized in Gabon from 0ctober 29 to November 02 on the theme « Toward Achieving Water Security and Safely Managed Sanitation for Africa”. GWP was one the main session convening institution and GWP WA was represented by the Chair, Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA and the Executive Secretary, Mr. Armand HOUANYE.
A 3-day conference on water security through rain water harvesting will be held on 27-29 November in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The aim is provide a multidisciplinary platform for practitioners and professionals to discuss the innovations, trends, and concerns to enhance water security through rain water harvesting.
