The policy brief was developed to understand the current situation and challenges in ensuring water security at the Philippines. in the last part of the report, several recommendation were provided.
Facilitated by the Central African Republic Country Water Partnership (CWP-CAR) , Central African Republic is the first country in the region to hold a stakeholder consultation workshop to validate the national monitoring report on indicator 6.5.1 of the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Energy and Water resources Development and GWP-CAR on July 1st,2020 in Bangui.
In December 2018, the draft Volta Basin Water Charter was validated by the main stakeholders of the basin at a regional workshop attended by the Togolese Water Sector Authorities, VBA and GEF national focal points from VBA member countries, technical and financial partners.
The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) will be launching its Strategy for 2020 – 2025 themed “Mobilizing Investments for A Water Secure Southern Africa”, to its partners in Pretoria, South Africa. The Strategy, to be launched at a meeting to mobilize investments for a water secure southern African region, will guide how GWPSA will focus its work between 2020 and 2025 in line with the GWPO Global Strategy.

The Country Water Partnership of Côte d'Ivoire (PNECI) had a working session with Mr. OSSETE Jean Michel, Programme and Knowledge Officer at the African Water Facility, accompanied by the consultant Théophile Gnagne, on 1 February 2019 at the African Development Bank (ADB) headquarters.
Since its establishment in 1999, Pakistan Water Partnership (PWP) is determined in establishing and strengthening Area Water Partnerships and using them as a platform for facilitating collective action by all concerned stakeholders for better management of water resources in rural Pakistan.
To strengthen journalists understanding of water security and climate resilience for effective communication with stakeholders, the Central Africa Republic Country Water Partnership (PNE-RCA), with the technical and financial support of the GWP Central Africa (GWP-CAF) and UNICEF, organized a two day capacity building workshop for media professionals in Bangui in December 2019. The participants at the workshop expressed their gratitude for the initiative and committed to contribute to the sensitization of stakeholders on water security and climate resilience. They also made a series of recommendations to key stakeholders, on enhancing water security and climate resilience. Steps have since been taken by PNE-RCA to implement the recommendations made towards the establishment of a network of water and climate journalists, and plans have been made to sustain it through subsequent capacity building workshops.
Water management is one of the greatest challenges facing the food & drink sector today, with far-reaching implications for society, as well as the competitiveness and sustainability of all food and drink manufacturers. Water Market Europe 2019 is focusing on the food & drink sector that covers the full water cycle and has a high impact on climate challenges. It is held 20-21 March in Brussels, Belgium.
With the support of the GWP, the Water and Climate Network of Central African Youth Organisations (RECOJAC) was able to take part in the 7th edition of the African Water Week, which was held from the 29th of October to the 02nd of November 2018 in Gabon.
