In the face of profound global water challenges, on World Water Day 2018 five global multi-stakeholder partnerships representing business, governments, intergovernmental organisations, academia, and civil society organisations announced a new collaboration effort designed to accelerate progress toward ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation around the world. A workshop to kick-off the project, proposing a Master Plan for Integrated Trijuga River Improvement and Basin Development based on Principles on Investment and Financing for Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction will be held on Thursday, 13 February 2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Chair, Executive Secretary and Communication and Knowledge Management Officer of GWP-WA paid a support visit to the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Niger from 09 to 14 April 2018. The purpose of the visit was to provide support to the Niger CWP for greater visibility among the authorities and strategic partners in the country in order to accompany it in carrying out its missions.
