The World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought (WDCD) is observed every year to promote public awareness of international efforts to combat desertification.
GWP is organising a Pan Asia learning webinar on Tuesday 18 June, at 8:30 AM Stockholm time (11:30 Tashkent / 12:00 Colombo / 13:30 Jakarta). The topic is: "Water-related adaptation planning and project preparation in countries across Asia: Korea Adaptation Week & the NAP Water Supplement".
Representatives of Asian and Pacific countries, stakeholder groups and development and humanitarian partners will gather in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 3-6 July, for the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR). GWP will be represented at the event.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) will be launching its Strategy for 2020 – 2025 themed “Mobilizing Investments for A Water Secure Southern Africa”, to its partners in Pretoria, South Africa. The Strategy, to be launched at a meeting to mobilize investments for a water secure southern African region, will guide how GWPSA will focus its work between 2020 and 2025 in line with the GWPO Global Strategy.
