Following a meeting on 12th January 2018, the Executive Board of the Guinea Country Water Partnership (CWP) was mandated to start the implementation of the Action Plan by organizing official visits in order to improve the visibility of the national network.
In the side lines of the kick-off workshop on Food and Nutrition Security in WEFE in West Africa, GWP WA chair, Pr. Amadou Hama MAIGA accompanied by the GWPO knowledge Management Officer James KENGE, VBA Executive Director, Robert DESSOUASSI, the chair of CWP Mali, Mamadou SYLLA and regional communications and knowledge manager, Sidi COULIBALY together with the technical advisor, Mrs. DIALLO Aissata TRAORE paid a courtesy visit to the Malian Commissioner for Food Security, Mr. Oumar Ibrahima TOURE on 13 December 2017.
A key challenge for policy and advocacy organisations like GWP is demonstrating direct attribution between its work and the outcomes and impact that this work was designed to influence. To better describe and understand this attribution gap, GWP has in place a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system that consists of a hybrid of two methodologies; outcome mapping and traditional results-based management.

A workshop was organized in Maroua, Cameroon, under the direction of the Regional Delegate of MINEE from 07 to 08 February 2018. Yangon, 5 December 2018 -- The dialogue on sharing knowledge from various research works on harvest moisture from thin air to collect water was held at Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department on 5th December 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar. The dialogue is part of the Myanmar Water Partnership activity in collaboration with the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College.
GWP has committed to “building a water secured world” via its unique property--multiple-stakeholders participation (MSP). Over twenty years, the diverse network of GWP has depended on MSP that helps GWP promote its vision and missions, and set up partnerships with different organisations from 84 countries. WWF8 appears a festival to GWP and all concerning water issues who gathered in Brazil which is the 5th largest country with 85% vegetation, to exchange theories, practical lessons and achievements and develop networking.
The Orange-Senqu River Basin is a transboundary water resource shared by Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa, managed by the Orange–Senqu River Commission (ORASECOM) - a GWP Southern Africa Partner. The Commission was established in 2000 and in this interview, Executive Secretary Lenka Thamae describes the partnership and issues at hand.
