On 6 June 2017, Kenya Water Partnership held an extraordinary General Assembly Meeting at Grace House Resort Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting objective was to address governance issues, elect new office bearers and meet requirements for accreditation

The transboundary Buna / Bojana Watershed is shared by Albania and Montenegro, as well as a long stretch of coastal zone of the Adriatic Sea. The watershed is faced with a variety of pressures, including unsustainable agricultural methods, increased tourism, and altered hydrological regimes from hydropower generation and flood control measures. Albania and Montenegro, while similar socially and economically, differ in their administrative, legal, and institutional frameworks. Regardless, both countries have recognized the need to strengthen their cross-border cooperation through the development of an integrated water resource plan (the Plan) for the watershed.

The learning modules bring together and guide users through all of the elements that make up a particular quadrant of the Framework. This is the relevant part of the Framework itself as well as the technical briefs that accompany it.

Xiang River is one of main tributaries of the Yangtze River and the largest river in Hunan Province, providing water for domestic and industrial use as well as water transport. Changsha, the capital of Hunan and other developed cities in Hunan, with higher urbanization and dense population, are concentrated in the Xiang River Basin. Xiang River flows through Changsha and affords the city drinking water. For citizens, the health of the river affects the security of each family and their living environment.

Arsenic contamination of groundwater that considered endemic to North Eastern part of India, has now moving into Bihar state poisoning populations in 18 out of 38 districts of Bihar. Ineffective water purification and sewage systems as well as periodic monsoons and flooding in the area exacerbated the situation.

GWP Central Africa launched the Water, Climate and Development Program (WACDEP) in Sao Tome and Principe. The workshop was held on 4 July 2017 in the UNDP conference room and brought together some 40 people.

The Country Water Partnership of Cote d'Ivoire (PNECI), represented by its Executive Secretary, François Kouadio, took part in the workshop on "The impact of new regulations on agricultural and forestry enterprises: Implementation of the provisions of the water code (authorization of levy, fee ...).

On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, an important training session was held for 25 young volunteers from the Côte d'Ivoire Country Water Partnership (PNECI) network. Ten years after its creation, PNECI is reassessing its IWRM strategy and decides to correct its approach, which has not really made much progress in the IWRM process at the national level.

During a ceremony held at GWP / WA the Mékrou Project manager, Mr. Corneille AHOUANSOU who resigned handed over to the Executive Secretary of GWP West Africa, Mr DAM MOGBANTE and received regards from his former colleagues. The chair of the CWP Burkina and two of his colleagues, the Permanent Secretary of the CWP Niger, Mr Radji GARBA who will support the ES in the technical implementation of the Project to completion and GWP / WA staff were in attendance.
