New to the Network: GWP Colombia

On August 17, GWP granted formal accreditation to GWP Colombia - or “Alianza Colombiana para el Agua”, which is the local name. Colombia is a country recognised by its technical capacity in Latin America and beyond.

GWP WA at the IUCN PAGE Steering Committee meeting

The members of the Steering Committee of the Partnership for Environmental Governance in West Africa - PAGE met in Ouagadougou for the third session of the Committee on 8 February 2017. The meeting was meant to assess the progress made and make a prospective analysis of the program.

IDMP pilot actions in Niger

Two pilot actions are being implemented in Niger, the first in Kankantouti (Torodi) and the second one in both Gardiberi and Koygolo (Dosso). In Kankantouti, a site of one hectare fenced by means of wire mesh, where PROGIS made it possible to produce two market garden wells, put 401 linear meters (ml) of wire fence, 200 ml of The Californian irrigation network, dig 7 distribution basins and develop a nursery for the biological protection of the site.
