The implementation process of national and regional platforms on the Integrated Management of Drought is ongoing. Thus the regional core group as well as the national core group of Niger held their first meeting of 2016 respectively on Wednesday, June 15 in Ouagadougou and Wednesday 22 June in Niamey.

Today, 10 October 2017, the Slovak Ministry of Environment held a press conference where a draft of a Drought Action Plan was introduced to the general public.

New challenges related to water have strongly emerged in the Mediterranean like those linked with increased migration flows due to conflict, social unrest and degradation of natural resources and well as changing consumption patterns. The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) is seeking to hire a Communications Officer that will undertake related activities in the framework of the work programme of the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) in Southeastern Europe, and the Thematic areas of (i) Transboundary Water Resources Management; (ii) Water-Energy-Food-Environment Nexus.

The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a sister to the “One Belt One Road” and also to the “south-south in Asia”. The year of 2017 arrives to the 50th year anniversary of ASEAN.
