Ese enfoque integrado se denomina Gestión Integrada de los Recursos Hídricos (GIRH) y se define como un proceso que proceso que promueve la gestión y desarrollo coordinado del agua, la tierra y los recursos relacionados, con el fin de maximizar el bienestar social y económico resultante de manera equitativa, sin comprometer la sostenibilidad de los ecosistemas.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) will be jointly organising ‘Climate Services User Forum (CSUF 27 and 28 April 2016) for the Water Sector in South Asia’ in association with WMO’s South Asian Climate Outlook Forum (SASCOF-8) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The 3^rd Climate Services User Forum for the Water Sector (CSUF-Water-3) held from 27 to 28 April in Colombo, Sri Lanka was successfully concluded yesterday, 28 April 2016.

PRESS RELEASE BY THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF MALTA

On the 4^th to the 6^th of May, 2016, GWPSA contributed to the National Adaptation Plans (NAP) process through its participation in a Training of Trainers workshop in Zimbabwe, with the aim of advancing the Zimbabwe NAP through the NAP Global Support Programme (GSP). The workshop was held in Kadoma, Zimbabwe, and 40 people attended. The participants came from various government departments, which include; Climate Change, Water, Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA), Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Local Government and Oxfam. 

A workshop of the African collectives of the Water and Sanitation Civil Society took place in Cotonou from 24th to 26th January 2017. It brought together eight (8) countries from West and Central Africa, namely: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo.

The Permanent Secretary of CWP Niger, Mr. Garba Radji, undertook a working mission with the CWP Benin in Cotonou from 17 to 23 July 2015. Mr. Radji is the PS of the CWP Niger since June 2015.

 

The National Youth Parliament for Water of Togo (PNJE Togo) organized on 7 April 2017 the second edition of the Water Night in partnership with the collaboration with the Council for Basic Sanitation in Togo (CCABT).
