The 5^th Africa Water Week (AWW5) takes place in Dakar, Senegal on 26 to 31 May 2014. The event is convened by the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) in conjunction with the African Union Commission and organised with other development partners. GWP is involved in a number of activities.

A national workshop was held on November 2, 2016 in Abidjan to validate the consultant report on the assessment of needs in integrated flood management. A study carried out by the Consultant, Mr. JIBIKILAYI Honoré.

A validation to the draft 4^th Regional Work programme; the Regional Strategic Action Plan (RSAP IV) was made at the 7^th SADC Multi-Stakeholder Water Dialogue held in Windhoek, Namibia from the 29^th to the 30the September, 2015. Subsequently, the Water Resources Technical Committee (WRTC) approved the plan at its meeting after the dialogue.  

The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) coordinated the Drin Day 2016, joining forces with the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), in the framework of the Drin Project and the Act4Drin Project respectively.

On December 2-3, 2015, GWP China Hebei organized the “Forum on Water Resources Optimization” in Langfang, Hebei Provinces.  It was jointly organized by GWP China Hebei, GWP China, Hebei Provincial Department of Water Resources and Hebei Provincial Association of Elder Scientists.

Our campaign is expected to gather people under the roof to increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation in the manner of strategic-thinking, cutting-edge, exploration and innovation.

 

This Indonesia Water Partnership under WACDEP Project is aimed to mobilize activities such as study, situational analysis, and recommendations which will contribute to the achivement of a higher level of water security and climate resilience in River Basin level, through promotion of IWRM in collaboration with key strategic partners such as BMKG (National Board on Meteorological Climatological and Geophysical), universities research center on climate (ITB and IPB), RBO (BBWS Bengawan Solo and PJT I), Central and local governments (East Java and Central Java Provinces) aimed to foster investment planning to protect vulnerable sectors on river basin basis.
